Are you looking for "American" Nationals or North American Nationals? Canada and Mexico are part of NA, so should probably include them.

Adults are dancers too. Age is only a number. They go through the same training and practicing, and do it all while working for a living and some while also raising families. They could honestly use more attention and separate age groups.

Taking the top 5 seems a bit ridiculous. Some great dancers who would normally podium place may not have a great O. That doesn't mean they are not worthy of being in Nationals, just that they had an off day.

It also makes no sense to do this until ALL of the cheating is gone. That includes elimination of anything that may identify a dancer's school within their solo costume (such as ropes/diamonds/patches on their dresses or crocheted flowers in their hair).

Dance because you love it. The trophy and title chasing money grabs are ridiculous enough without adding another monstrosity.
