Subject: If you’ve never been to St. Louis, maybe the Greater St. Louis Feis in October

I’ve been to St. Louis but never to a feis there. I think they have moved this feis from the summer to October and it is back to back with another feis that isn’t open yet. GSLF is open on Feisworx. Overall cap is 400 and I think feis there tend to be smaller. They are offering second chance comps.

The venue is the Hilton Ballpark which is near the Gateway Arch, which is pretty cool to see and the movie and museum underneath are great.

There is also the City Museum, which just about the coolest indoor playground my kids have ever seen. We stop in St. Louis all the time just for that.

And I’m not affiliated with whomever is hosting that feis, it is just the one in the Midwest I’d recommend based on your criteria.

Feiseanna in Chicago and Milwaukee tend to offer second chance as well, but the comps are generally bigger and the locations are typically convention centers and field houses. They are well run and I’d recommend them. But I don’t think near any historical sites.l but others might know more.

  • New England feiseanna often have second chance comps. I think there's a double feis weekend at the Irish Cultural Center just outside boston in the fall. (NT) -- vvn, 06:24:44 07/09/24 Tue
