We switched schools because we didn't like the way the teacher ran the class. My dancer wasn't progressing quickly at the first school and we didn't see any big change in the speed of her progression at the new school. BUT SHE WAS HAPPIER, less stressed, made more friends and continued to dance there for YEARS. I was ready to pull her out of first school and quit because it was so stressful, and my dancer was in tears after almost every class. We tried to work it out, but the writing was on the wall...my dancer and the first teacher just didn't work well together.

I know more people that changed school because they didn't like the teacher/program than those that were chasing results. Out of the results chasers... some did great at new school, and some didn't see any change, and often ended up quitting.

Please stop assuming that everyone who changes schools is doing so in a trophy hunt. It just isn't true.
