Subject: I think its typical, especially for those involved in other sports. It becomes harder to balance the demands of High School Sports along with keeping up with competitive dance training.
In reply to: So many in MA recently stopped 's message, "Teen dancers retiring? Is the beginning of high school common for numbers to decrease?" on 04:54:22 08/26/24 Mon

That along with increased academic demands and a kids desire to have a more active social life. Some decide that dance is important enough to them that they want to sacrifice to train, others see it as just a fun activity and decide to dial it back or quit altogether.

  • Very typical. Some girls are getting more involved with varsity sports and/or picking up a lot of AP classes. Some are picking up part-time jobs, some just want to spend more time with friends. Irish dance is expensive, time-consuming, and as has been made clear in the last few years, absolutely rife with cheating. (NT) -- makes sense to me, 11:36:53 08/26/24 Mon
