Subject: As I predicted in the post below, the majority of these hotels are NOWHERE NEAR the Gaylord. Expect a $35-50 uber or taxi ride every single time you want to get to or from the Gaylord.

I hope the greed of the organizers is evident to everyone. They completely filled their block obligation BEFORE the rooms were made available to the general public yet are still marching on with the facility fee. This is nothing more than a ploy to generate as much revenue as they can from families who, for a variety of reasons, cannot risk getting stuck at a hotel many miles away (mobility concerns, young children, cost, etc.)

  • How do you know the block is sold out at the Gaylord? Teachers were still able to book it on the Friday before it closed so i don't think it is full. Maybe just closed to new bookings until the 12th? (NT) -- confused, 13:26:59 02/10/25 Mon
  • A couple teachers from different schools told me it was sold out. Maybe it’s just for certain nights. Or maybe they have more rooms to release when it opens to everyone. Anyways it’s where everyone wants to be and it’s going to be the hardest to get. (NT) -- 123, 14:17:05 02/10/25 Mon
