Thank you for bringing the event to a new place. We love the adventure of a new city and to be able to cross it off a list of places that some may only dream to go. If I remember correctly the last time the MAR hosted it was held in New Orleans and oh what a blast we had there. My dancer was younger and yes the hotels were numerous and further away, but we were so blessed to be in a place I will probably never experience with my dancer again. And yes it’s July and it’s hot but would never trade those inconveniences for the memories we shared and look back upon. We got where we needed to on the one day we needed to be there, and the dancing experience was positive, fun, and organized.

For those attending keep an open mind. Plan ahead. Expect the hiccups. And just live your best life with your dancer. For those who find everything to be too inconvenient, the beauty of it all, is that you simply decline the invitation and enjoy your Independence Day weekend elsewhere. You do you. But I encourage everyone to give it a shot and make memories with your dancer while you still can. Thank you MAR! Looking forward to a new adventure in our Nation’s capital!
