On the other side…What happens is that the Aus judges might recognize the dancer so they actually give them the time of day and judge them accordingly. Australia fights a battle of not being on the overseas Feis scene so a lot of the very talented Aus dancers never really get the time and attention they should based on ‘not being known’ -- Main Irish Dance Message Board!

This is a really good point. Really good unknown dancers have a hard time getting noticed. We were advised to get our daughter social media accounts so she would be “known.” As I’ve seen no research showing social media is good for teens, that was a hard no. (NT) -- Dm, 07:08:17 04/07/25 Mon

    - Our TC is also AD (not judging worlds), and works full time. She barely has time or mental energy to post a few pics on our school instagram, to say nothing of other dancers and schools (NT) -- let's be realistic haha, 07:48:32 04/08/25 Tue
