So while I know there are girls who don’t WQ who are just as good as girls who don’t, a comp of 200 plus dancers would be horrible.

I think a case could be made to tinker with the WQ formula so that girls who WQ at Nationals are skipped over at Os. But that would required having fewer WQs at Nationals and/or Os awarded by the formula.

The advantage of this is that dancers would actually support and cheer for dancers from their region to do well and WQ so their region would get another WQ spot.
