Total number of dancers who competed that day, not registered. Subtract 20 dacners for the first 5 WQ spots. Then it is 1 for every additional 10 dancers. Using the U14s at MidAmerica O as an example:

U14A - 78 dancers
U14B - 78 dancers
Equals 156 dacners. Minus 20 for the first 5 WQ spots leaves 136. That means 14 WQ spots. So 19 WQ spots. A split gets the extra when splits are even. With WMHs, 1 in A and 3 in B, 11 WQ spots were awarded in the A split. 11 were awarded in the B split when they should have awarded 12. That is why the 12th place girl was awarded her WQ placement after the initial audit.
