Subject: Announcing all places at feis

Some of you may agree with me.,..some may not...but that's okay. My kid just danced in a feis in mid America where they announced place values for every single dancer. I have never never seen this before. Kids were crying. Parents were upset. It was crazy that they made the kids who got last go up and pose for pictures with the whole group. UMMMM>>>>>WHY? WHAT WAS THE POINT????? BUT THEY DID IT ANYWAY. I do not get this. In a group of 20, 15 or ten, WHY? When they only gave awards to the top half - they said they were 'recognizing all places'. Mind. you, quick feis only announces the awarded places on the website, but here, for some reason, they decided to buck that system and announce all places for everyone.
