I do not know how things are today, but in the past, most people left UBF of there own choice. But, that choice was made very difficult by the UBF membership who remained.

For instance, James and Bok Soon Kim wanted to remain in Toledo, but they openly challenged Samuel Lee (see Escape UBF for these archived letters and testimonies). When other Korean's in Toledo displayed openly jealous, cruelty toward the Kim family everything spun out of sanity. The Kim family was duped by Samuel Lee to go to Texas to "pioneer". In the meantime, Mr. SNAKE IN THE GRASS Paul Hong, broke into the Kim residence and stole some of the Kim's belongings and put the remainder into boxes. He left the Kim family literally out in the cold (small cildren under the age of 10 as well) to freeze in the cold with no food and no warm clothing.

When the Kim family finally made it to Texas, Samuel Lee gave them no support. That was his way of punishing the Kim family for challenging his authority.

Other members who have left on their own have been sought out and physically attacked.

To this day, I wonder how Paul Hong, Isaac and Hee Soon Kim, and the thugs who assisted them in this awful forced eviction of the Kim family can ignore what they did to small children...plus 2 adults who showed them all nothing but the love of Christ.

UBF folks claim they have changed. Paul Hong never will.

I hope that the people who are planning on leaving UBF today will get treated better, but I won't hold my breath.
The leadership of all UBF chapters are not interested in living a Christian life. They are only concerned with control and power...

So if you want to leave UBF my advice is change your phone number, and move away if you can. And above all, DO NOT tell them you are leaving until the actual moment you do it. Be sure to tell the leadership that they MUST NEVER contact you again or you will be forced to take legal action. Otherwise, you might be in for violent conflict.

As for the coward who got personal with Bruce, I have a question? Do you have any dirt you want to spit out about me as well? If you do, do it now. I will be in Toledo next week and would be more than delighted to discuss this with you personally.

I am confident that your smart mouth is just a reflection of your ignorance....as well as your lack of depth as a human being!
