The APA has problems for sure. But please don't validate "fellow christian's" skewed view on history of the APA's stance on brainwashing. The APA DOES currently (and has for several years) recognized coercive persuasion as being legit (see previous response to fellow christian). Fellow Christian needs to update himself on the history. As far as the APA (American Psychiatric Association - the publishers of the DSM IV) goes, a few bad apples amongst them doesn't mean the whole bushel is bad. We shouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
