This article by Ms. Cammans is a must reading for anyone who is, has been, or will be invloved in the ubf. The way a student is isolated from his friends and family at ubf is perfectly described. The one phrase says "Since our family now was considered ‘unsuitable’ as a mission target, the separation was preprogrammed." The student separated from his family, saw his excellent grades plummet, saw his health collapse, couldn't eat or communicate properly, etc. Not to mention the tremendous grief that ubf caused his friends and damily for several years.
I hope everyone can read this article several times, as well as Dealing with Manipulative People. Manipulative people can quote the Bible as well as anyone else.
The story in Ms. Cammans article ends happily. The young man was able to escape, tho the ubf tries to make it impossible to escape. Here are the words of the young man's real mother

IMHO, there is not enough info about ubf. We need more cult information about ubf. We need to make it more well known, more user friendly, better documented. This information will help recruits to decide in five minutes that they do not want to be involved with the ubf, and there is no acceptable healthy basis to join the ubf. Leave the hard core ubfins in ubf so they may not menace society. And Daniel S. is totally accurate too. The ubf distorts all the important concepts of the Bible such as love, grace, truth, and even the gospel message itself. So the long time ubfKoreans cannot integrate into normal churches or normal way of life. They are forever in a fringe cult life, even if they don't attend ubf anymore. May God bless Daniel in his book writing, and we may add it here to the available cult info about ubf. And I look forward to the Fox News report due very shortly. Hopefully we can add it here too.
