Maybe it really is time to move on and get a life.
There will be sites like ubf-info.de allowing people to have a platform where they can let others know their testimony of their experience with UBF.
On this board we have seen that really there was little benefit of discussing with UBF members: they either troll around anonymously or they are unwilling to discuss, but just drop off a bunch of propaganda, or both at the same time.
I don't remember much reasonable discussion on these boards, and when you go to UBF boards, your statements won't last for a minute if they're not pro-UBF, that shows how open minded UBF is as an organization.
It really may be time to break off all of this discussion, if ubf-info would be able to get a "newsticker" (or at least a link to one) so that we can see what is going on.
Keeping up the "contact" boards, and the overview will suffice.
Those UBF members (or outsiders that want to find out about UBF) that really want to discuss should do it in private, not because we have anything to hide but so that UBF propagandists don't feel the need to stroll around, drop some propaganda and think all is well now in wonderland.
Personally, I have become fed up with forum discussion on cult issues as well, the story is always the same. Reasonable discussion with cult members is not possible. They use every logical fallacy that is being described anywhere (and probably more), hoping that you don't know the tricks yet (or maybe they already are too mind-controlled to realize their argument is fallacious) and when you don't tag along, they'll either slip away quietly or they'll stomp off with a couple of personal attacks.
I'm pretty much sick of it. It doesn't produce spiritual growth to argue with cult members. The only thing it produces is an awareness what spiritual maturity is [u]not[/u]. But after you saw it for a couple of years - it gets exhausting.
I'll just hope that those of us who have gotten to know one another on this board will stay in contact, maybe for positive Christian fellowship, encouragement and mutual support.
