I am a former member of UBF. I just learned the news and came here for more information. Yes, I was told she committed suicide. I agree, UBF is very unhealthy place for the mentally ill and sane as well. Actually I think it breeds suicide for those who are weak and have no outside support.

I mentioned the movie because some people have already started to say she should have never married. Considering she had a breakdown before marriage that is true. UBF should have really considered helping her in other ways not by marriage which adds to the pressure of life.But I wish everyone recognize the chances that your spouse may have a breakdown can and do happen in marriages (not just UBF ones). Are you and all those willing to marry by faith ready to really love someone and support them even when they are that sick. Since UBF attracts some mentally ill the chances of marrying somone who will have a mental breakdown in UBF (I believe) is probably 50/50. This is something to seriously consider.
