Based on my first-hand observations I would say that UBF or any of its offshoots are destined to fail because the organization depends on lying, deception, covering up of sin, and unquestioning human obedience in order to hold together. Of course, in order to function this way, the organization has to severely distort or completely deny passages of Scripture. Hopefully those with courage and a genuine desire to follow God's words will eventually see the light and reject UBF.
For a church to be useful to God, it must encourage its individuals to have personal fellowship with God through the Holy Spirit. Our faith tells us that if all the members are in communion with God, He will bind the church together and equip it in His way in order to carry out His will. It may not appear successful in the world's eyes, but it will bear good Gospel fruit, not the fruit of lies, rape, murder, etc.
Having been familiar with military organization and training, and later becoming familiar with oriental culture through many trips to the far East, I can say that mixing soldier mentality and confucism with the Bible produces a horrible result.
