Tony, I understand what you are saying, but it seems one point is still not clear to you: This forum is not just about debating and discussing things. It is about warning and informing on the problems of UBF.

Yes, the same things are said time and again, and they may sound boring for you and many of us, but these same things are brandnew information for many others, and these informations may help in saving their spiritual life, their family, their marriage, their faith in God; they may save them many wasted years in the cult. We are not here because we simply like to discuss or bash the cult, but we are here as a service for others, because we don't want that they have to go through the hell we had been going through. Therefore, this forum will be red-hot and useful until UBF has stopped recruiting people into their organization.

Your observation that the discussions on this site have become boring to some people may be regarded a good sign. Maybe they have processed their UBF experience and are ready to move on. However, others have just begun processing their experience. For them, the site is not boring at all. Don't think only from your perspective, but also from the perspective of others. For you, UBF has been only a little episode in your life, you had the luck of being involved in a life situation where you had been old, mature, stable and self-determined enough to not get sucked in. For others, UBF has been literally everything in the world and leaving UBF has been a traumatic experience. They need some time and people to discuss with who went through the same experience. Yet others are just being recruited have only seen the nice side of UBF and are completely unaware of the dark side. They need more than the static web pages with articles about the problems of UBF, the need real people who will confirm that all of this is reality and not only a bad dream.

This site will be of value and up-to-date and it will not die until the abuse in UBF has ended.

So I don't think the topic of this board needs to be broadened, but my idea was to have an additional, kind of affiliated "OffTopic" board for those who have moved on and want to discuss broader issues with the people we have met in the past on this board. Perhaps this is also your idea; I just wanted to clarify.

The question is: Do we have enough people who would like to discuss offtopic issues? In order to keep a web forum going, we need a certain "critical mass" of people.

Please, everybody who is interested in off topic discussion write a short reply here in this thread, and tell us which off topic issues are of interest, such as:

- Family life
- Christian life
- Politics, social issues
- general Christian ethics
- healthy alternatives to UBF
- Bible study, hermeneutics
- student evangelization
- theology
- all of the above, anything else?

If a critical mass has interest in offtopic discussions, and nobody else does, I will volunteer as board admin for the OffTopic board.
