You are right, but the funny thing is that UBF is exactly the same as the Roman Catholic church in many aspects:

* Justification by works and salvation being baptized into the church instead of justification by faith alone. UBF, too, is very focues on works, and people being members of their group as the basis for salvation.

* Hierarchical authority structures. The Roman Catholics call it the "Apostolic Succession," in UBF they call it spiritual order. Contrary to UBF, the Roman Catholics have at least some basis for that claim, all Popes claiming to go back to Apostle Peter, whereas the spiritual order of UBF has not predecessor before Pope Samuel Lee.

* In Roman Catholicism, the "tradition of the church" including all the dogmas and doctrines frm the Vatican is more important than the Bible. This is the same in UBF. Reformers were not expelled because they were unbiblical, but because they infringed upon the tradition of UBF (this was the official statement).

* Mystical and magical thinking, superstituous thoughts.

* Long track record of past wrongdoings ;-)

However, at least the Roman Catholic church does not engage in cult mind control.
