I don't want to go on a bashing tour.
So let's keep it simple.

If UBF would issue a statement of repentance for past abuses, and another statement to declare that they want to improve towards a totally biblical system instead of the authoritarian system they've long been, the first step would be taken.

If they were sincere in these statements and would ask me to help them accomplish their goal of making UBF a healthy biblical church, I would gladly come there and help them. But only with advice, not as an elder or "spiritual leader". I don't want any power in UBF but I want to be able to freely, frankly speak on measures that need to be taken and I want to see that my suggestions are being pondered before the Word of God.

But as long as UBF won't distance themselves from their past but rather call it "the glorious past", don't count on me coming back there. NOTHING has really changed unless repentance is declared.

Spiritually, there are only 2 conditions: alive in Jesus or dead in sins and offenses. Until repentance, the condition is the latter, and so I don't need to see anything.

In Christ,
Mike K.
