Hi PSUDAB, I remember Rimas from my time in UBF when I attended the MSU conference and visited some chapters afterwards. I think his chapter was at Johns Hopkins, right? Anyway, he left a very good impression on me and I thought if such nice people are in UBF, then UBF must be a good organization. I heared the news that he left UBF at about the same time when I left, and it was one of the things which confirmed my decision at that time. This happened already about 3 or 4 years ago, by the way.

Does anybody know the exact reasons why he left? I think he and Andreas Oberreuter in Cologne have been one of the most intelligent and thoughtful people in UBF. It only disappointes me that they never made public statements about their reasons for leaving and don't seem to care about the rest of the UBF members afterwards. Their analysis of UBF could have helped many others. I heared that Andreas had written down a list of things that need to be changed in UBF in order to get in line with the Bible and handed that list to Abraham Lee. Of course, Lee did not change these things, and consequently, Andreas left. I think that was a very level-headed proceeding.

By the way, when talking about ex-members we should be careful to not become guilty of the same careless dealing with private information about people as we see in UBF. Some people don't even want their name to be mentioned in the context of UBF any more. If it get's too private, I suggest using email instead of the public forum.
