I observed more than one instance when music was used to publicly humiliate a UBF person. The first was when a girl was asked to play cello during the worship service that probably hadn’t ever played cello well. For three weeks straight she was asked to play in front of the small UBF chapter. She could barely play one phrase.

The next instance was when a very talented musician was asked to play an impossibly difficult peace written for violin on her wind instrument. Samuel L. insisted that she learn this and play it in front of everyone in Chicago UBF. She of course could not play it well no matter how much she practiced. This woman told me other stories about how she had been trained. I would not want anyone to have to go through what this woman has had to endure.
