Mike, I don't know the writings and theology of Nee very well. Are these points 1+4 presented as a fact, or are they valued as something positive (desirable) or negative (potentially dangerous) by Nee? I don't quite understand the author's position., but I tend to believe that Nee depicts it as something positive. This would go along with the fact that he too came from a Confucian background, and the claim in Vinzant's "Roots of Shepherding" that Nee was to some extend one of the precursors of the shepherding/discipling movement.
