You really hit the nail on the head with that one.
Your statement pretty much sums up my entire experience with UBF performance "training."
I did singing, drama, and instrumental solos. I performed with no regard for the idiotic instruction I was given. I wore what I chose I played what I chose I "killed."
I will continue to perform and play my instrument because that is what they could never change.
