From a message entitled http://www.studentorg.umd.edu/ubf/john/jn1b.htm">"Jesus, the Lamb of God"

Look at verse 39. "Come,' he replied, 'and you will see.'"
Jesus invited them to have spiritual koinonia with them. Nobody likes to invite others these days because people enjoy selfishness. But Jesus invited them even though he did not have a studio
apartment. Luke 9:58 says, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
Anyway, Jesus invited them to come and see so that they may
acknowledge something about Jesus himself. "So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him." (39) This was the beginning of Jesus common life with his disciples. It was the beginning of eternal friendship with future spiritual leaders he chose. Through the common life together they saw the Messiah in Jesus. Common life together is the best way to know Christ. Lev and Augustine are becoming good coworkers in Christ.

Man, this is subtle. Did you catch it?

First off, we're talking about Jesus saying that others can follow him even though he has no certain place.
Next thing we find ourselves talking about UBF "common life", which, of course, means, taking your things and move into a UBF room, not alone, but under constant supervision of peers and your "director". Jesus said "field". In UBF, it's "a UBF room". Jesus said "Come and you will see". In UBF, they say "Come and be trained to become great coworkers"...
It's so subtle, you don't even realize that UBF is putting things into this passage which aren't ANYWHERE there!
