That was very similar in Heidelberg UBF. Most UBF Koreans, particularly the women, had their working place in Frankfurt, because there are many Korean companies. So they had a long way by train every morning and evening. For me it was the same, I also worked remote. They also had to care for their children. Still, they were expected to attend the morning prayer hour at 6am. It was very easy for the leader to attend. His house was very close, and he and his wife had no job, so after the prayer hour, he could stay in his office room in the center and take a nap, and then read the (Korean) newspapers or take a walk, while his wife prepared the lunch and while everybody else had to go to work or the university (for studying or fishing). After their work in Frankfurt, the Koreans often had to come directly from the railway station to the center. Particularly during the 2-3 weeks before a conference, we had to come every evening. Kaleb made also the rule that after the sogam sessions in the evening, when it was already late, people had to stay in the center for prayer, first in groups, and then alone, for at least 2 hours. Many of them had small children. Anyway, those who went early were considered unspiritual, those who stayed long were considered spiritual.
