If you've forgotten, I am PRO-LIFE, and I wish that there were NO more Abortions ever again on this planet. Each child should be loved and wanted--and if a person doesn't want a child he/she should either: 1) Stop having sex (which I see as almost impossible. 2) Get permanently sterilized. 3) Take SOME kind of birth control. Why there isn't 100% effective birth control, whether it comes in pill form or device is puzzling to me, due to all the advances we now have in medicine. There must be at least One scientist who knows how to solve this problem.

As far as anything Republican. I DID used to like Ronald Reagan--my late father just loved him. I turned 18 years old in 1984-but in December, so I could not vote for him, but I sure would have voted for him if I could. In 1988 I didn't like either Dukakis or Bush Sr. so I sat out that election. In 1992 and 1996 I voted for Bill Clinton. In 2000 I voted for Al Gore, in 2004 I voted for John Kerry and in 2008 I voted for Barack Obama. It's not that I hate Republicans--I hate what they now represent.

You would agree with me, Obitchecker, that the way NOT to run a successful economy is to give tax cuts to the rich or to cut taxes during wartime when money is needed. As long as Bush, Cheney and their rich friends were making lots of money, and We the People were going to be paying the bills for everything, why stop the Gravy Train?

Bush did help a lot of people in Africa who have AIDS, which is good; but where is his compassion for his own country? This Ultra Right-Wing, Neo-Conservative Evangelical Christian Republican party of today is NOT the party of Abraham Lincoln. I don't like people pushing and shoving their views in my face--basically telling me I MUST agree with them--or I am against them. This is what Republicans have been doing since September 11, 2001, and this is why the country has been divided.

As far as Barack Obama--I am willing to give the man a chance and Time to try and fix our economy. He did not start this problem--Bush and his Neo-Con majority did. From 2001 to January 2007--the Republican majority passed every single spending bill and tax cut--which is how we got in the mess we're in now. Luckily we have President Obama, who is willing to try and fix the problem--not pass a permanent tax cut to the rich, like John McCain wanted to. What would that have solved? Would McCain even care about the rest of us? All his tax cuts would have done would make the rich even more richer and force the rest of us to give up our dreams of home ownership and move to 'tent cities' that are springing up all over the place.

As to Rush Limbaugh and some other Right Wingers--haven't you noticed that they are sending messages of pure hate? I mean, I thought that these people were the Christian party--willing to share what they have with the poor and to reach out to those who have nothing. Instead, all I've been hearing is: "Obama wants to punish you for making a lot of money. He wants to take your money from you and give it to the poor. It's YOUR money, NOT Obama's money. Why should you have to give your money to social programs for 'those' people, why should you have to pay taxes that help 'those' people, why shouldn't you have permanent tax cuts, why should you have to listen to anyone else but the Republican party, etc..." So how can I respect a party that is acting so greedy and so damn selfish when it comes to helping 'those' people? I AM one of 'those' people! By the time I was 18 years old, my parents were dead. I finished high school and began working full time. I was married, divorced, and a single mother of a great son, and with a terrific man for the past 12 years, who I married in December 2007. I did the best I could with what opportunities I had. I'm now 42 years old and I think I've done a pretty good job of raising my son (with absolutely NO help from his biological father--one of those rare, rich Hispanic Republicans)and working continuously for over 24 years.

If you think my viewpoints are wrong or that I'm being stubborn, so be it. I just hope you understand now what I and millions of people like me see happening from day to day and how the Neo-Con Republican policies of the past 8 years have affected us and our families so much right now that we don't want to have anything to do with the Republicans or their party.
