I noticed you said I used "loaded words" when I posted last time. I must ask you which words were "loaded" and why.
I also must comment on your stating that we won't really know about Bush and his presidency until 15 years have passed. I know enough about it NOW. I don't have to or want to wait for 15 years.
People are coming out of the shadows that were in the Bush administration, the CIA, UN weapons inspectors that were in Iraq before Bush Invaded, all these people are coming out NOW and telling what really went on.
The person who, using regular interrogation methods (be friendly, talk about many things, use trick questions, etc (NO torturing)) found out about the 9/11 plot and Jose Padilla's dirty bomb BEFORE waterboarding was used on the prisoners. I've heard and read that waterboarding was used ONLY to get confessions that Saddam Hussein was in partnership with Al Quaida and knew about the 9/11 plot--which to this day NO ONE has been able to prove and only Dick Cheney seems to think is a fact.
People who knew Saddam said he was very surprised when 9/11 occurred, and that he would NEVER have been associated with Al Quaida because he could not be the leader in charge and that he was not interested in their agenda.
Now, Cheney and his daughter are going on all the 'friendly' media news sites and TV shows, trying to say that waterboarding was necessary and worked.
I know that Nancy Pelosi may or may not have known about the waterboarding in 2002, but she had NO power to do anything or say anything about it until she became Speaker of the House in January 2007.
Every day that passes, we are all finding out new information about the REAL Bush administration. Soon, classified documents may be released or leaked, and we will have our answers.
My guess is that Cheney is either going to have to get himself a good lawyer to defend himself from WAR CRIMES or he'll be sneaking out of the country to Paraguay with Bush and hide out at their 100,000 acres estates while everyone else from Rumsfeld, Rice, Gonzo, Bybee, You, Addington, etc... takes the fall and does the time.
I may be back early this weekend, so I'll check back with you all then.
