It is very sad indeed. But let me tell you what I feel was even sadder.

The connections of Big Brown, being fully aware of what happening, continued to yock it up and make merry. They were extremely insensitive in their behavior.

And NBC is to blame for letting this garbage be shown on TV.

It made me almost lose my supper. It was so nauseating.

I do NOT want anything bad to happen to Big Brown as far as physical injury is concerned.

However I am hoping with all my heart that he gets soundly defeated in the Preakness and, most of all, hoping that he does NOT win the Triple Crown.

I can't stand his trainer, who comes across to me as the second coming of Bud Delp, the obnoxious individual who told us how Spectacular Bid could not lose. Then when he did lose, he planed it on a safety pin!

Compassion, on behalf of Big Brown's connections and the NBC network were sorely needed yesterday.

Sadly it was totally absent.

There is something dreadfully wrong with that picture.
