U.S. forces bombed Basra on Saturday as about 40 Iraqi police commandos based in Baghdad deserted to join the Mehdi Army.

Sounds like the Bush/McCain plan is working.

100 more years? Probably not. We can't WIN this war, we need to get out.

The Mahdi militia's ceasefire has reduced the amount of violence that has occurred in Iraq during the surge period. If this ceasefire arranegment breaks down, and it looks like Maliki is heading the country that way, the gains will al be lost and chaos will ensue. (NT)James MSat, March 29, 2008 6:13:15
