Subject: I still admire Mike Huckabee but he won't get the nomination. I am now for John McCain, who will be our next Chief Executive.

I read Doris's post. I will not reply to it because I want start this new thread. Believe me, McCain's health is not an issue. Absolutely NOT. He is as healthy as any other candidate. He would not be running if he did not feel that way.

I have never met Sen. McCain but I feel I know him well. He is scurupulously hontest about Iraq.

He is a straight-talker much in the way of the great Harry Truman, who I respected though I did not vote for him.

McCain does not b.s. anyone. It's what he REALLY thinks that he tells you.

People, he really DOES believe that it will be very tough for us if we pull out suddenly and the country collapses, and he DOES think that it is a chance if we send some more troops. He is NOT a warmonger like some say. I don't think he is thrilled about it.

In fact he has been aware from the get-go that his position of honesty has cost him votes. He doesn't care about that.

If his campaign collapsed because of that,he accepts it.

That's how McCain has been thinking.

Yes, whatever you think of him you have to admit that he is a true patriot. He loves our country. Any way you look at it, he's a patriot.

I think that Gov. Huckabee would have made a great President and he still would be my first choice.

But with reality setting in (Huckabee will NOT be the nominee) I am now fully behind Sen. John McCain.

I am hoping he chooses Gov. Huckablee as his running mate.
