"Quick, Kuth! Hand me Golden Horn and Tide!" Lord Flint cried. Kuth brought out Lord Flint's Tide, a gray stallion who was known to be fleet of foot, and Lady Skandra's Golden Horn, a beautiful gold-colored mare.

Drudges rushed to saddle the runnerbeasts, and Flint was on his in a blink. He clicked to the horse and started to ride hard to Honshu.

Kuth smiled at his sister's act, now he was THE most important person in the Hold! A tiny thought nagged at him, that he shouldn't be so overjoyed that he would most likely never see Henrya again, due to her inevitable estrangement.

Kuth repressed his feelings of guilt. He would deal with later, he thought, spurring Ghost into action and off towards Honshu.
