I am not cutting on the kid b/c I don't know him nor do I know his academic abilities, but being down South and two cities over from High Point, I can tell you w/confidence that High Point University is clearly well under Lehigh's standards. The secondary assumption is hard to draw w/o knowing more about this kid's scores in the classroom. Also, let's remember that HC took a smart kid from a JUCO two years ago who happened to be a capable student.

It does appear though that Lehigh is stretching a la their football experience. This being said, the kid still has to make it in the classroom and time will tell on this one.

I too share Rick's concerns about our recruiting but that has more to do with lack of knowledge about the players that are coming in. That being said, Willard does not just offer schollies to anyone and look at how Greg Kinsey has turned out for the Cross.

I am anxious to see how Tim Clifford performs and want to find out more about Doherty...he is my big question mark.

Cheers.

"There are many things he could do to improve sports at HC, it appears he is satisfied with the status quo and just coasts along without making any waves."

Let us know what the "many things" are. Then we can see if we agree and perhaps get behind what you suggest.

Oh yes,and was relieving Dan Allen of his duties an example of being "satisfied with the status quo" or a call that saved the football program from being in an absolutely impossible situation had there been no action in the face of Coach Allen's tragic disability?
