Hey there,

If the type of food you are feeding is deficient in fatty acids that will cause excessive shedding and dry skin.

Feed a good quality food, and you'll see the results! Good coat & skin, less stool, and you won't have to feed as much as you would with Dog Chow, or Pedigree (or even Science Diet!). Some good ones are Nutro, Innova, Solid Gold, Techni-Cal, Nutrience, K9+, Performatrin etc.
