His adamant refusal to sleep with her was for a lot of reasons - one, he didn't want to be just like any other guy she had been with or come in contact with, two it was a matter of pride that he could resist when no one else could...silly male ego and all that. Instead of heading towards the strip, he went to the beach, figuring if she was in a bit of a mood she wouldn't want the people fluttering around her.
