• He laughed softly and shook his head slowly, silent for a long moment before speaking finally. "Well it's about damn time." His smile lingered and his gaze turned to Jordy for her reaction - he thought the world of his son, and if he was ready to settle down it was only right that it was with Mariah. If there was one thing that could offend it was when he starting these 'my' and 'I' words around after all the work she did to rebuild this damn place and keep it running. • She set her jaw tightly, her eyes sparking before she let out a slow breath. "Fine." She stated, leaning up to kiss her sons cheek. "And since it's your damn club, you can do all the paperwork tonight." She turned back to Jordy, grabbing her coat. "Lets go." With that she headed out the door and down the stairs to make her way back to her own place where she was apperantly more welcome and appreciated. Jordan tossed a look over her shoulder to Luc before she let the door close behind them and followed her friend. Austin gazed at his father and then door before he looked back to his father again. • He frowned a little bit - he'd always been really protective over his mom - just like he was after little Liza. "Yeah..." There was no question though that if Luc wasn't going to go check on her then he would. He, for one, didn't understand how his dad dealt with his mom's place. It drove him crazy, the place was crazy on the weekends and then was probably a 5:1 ratio on men to women there. With the girls on the bar and serving drinks and doing all the fancy stuff with fire and all that kinda junk it was just insane and busy and loud and very very drunk. He had more responsibility than anyone else really seemed to realize and tended to take the brunt of everyone's upset - like now, he had just been looking out for his son, and yet the boy had shut him off already. Hands running through his hair, he offered a brief smile before dropping his gaze to the papers infront of him - he still hated paperwork, but had come to terms that sometimes he just couldn't get out of it. • She was on her way out of the school and had been just about to call him when her phone rang - seeing his number on the call display, she sighed in quiet contentment and her smile was clearly evident in the sweet tone to her warm answer. • Now sitting in his vehicle with the engine running to warm things up while she chatted with him, a soft smile played over her features - glad to hear the confirmation that this was all really happening. She had actually wondered for a moment or two that day if she had dreamed it all up - that would have been just like her. "Never a dull moment with your parents. She wasn't even sure why she hated driving so much, but she just knew that she did, but whenever it was most convenient, she was willing to do it - if Austin was more comfortable with that then with her taking the bus.
