(He thought about that for a while, as was his nature. He was watching the waves when the wind picked up and ruffled his hair and he thought of Fyre.) I've never been the trusting type. (He said at last, watching the way a seagull was floating up and down over the peaks of the waves.) I usually stand on the shore and wait until everyone else has gone in to prove it is safe, then I dive in with everything I have.
