White dragon and rider enter their den to see their mates sound asleep. Edyn smiles as she walks over and sits on the edge of the bed. Kwynn rolls over with a grunt, and his eyes flutter open, somewhat surprised to find himself in his own bed.

"Whoa, what'd I miss?" he wonders, sitting up slowly and rubbing his head. He winces when he touches the lump on his forehead. "Ow..."

Trae fills him in on what had happened over the past... however long it had been.

"I missed half the battle AND the hatching?! I can't be-- ow!" He tries to move his arm in the wrappings, but it doesn't move much, just rubbing against the wound.

"Lay back down before you hurt yourself," Edyn says, gently pushing him back on the good shoulder.

"I can't believe I missed it..." he whines.

"You should be glad you're alive!"

Kwynn wrinkles his nose, knowing she's right. "Are the others okay?"

"Elionia was cut up pretty badly, but Sarah says she'll be alright. Navan and Estelle are okay."

"And their dragons?"

"Just a few cuts."

"Well that's good." He pauses for a moment, thinking. "They are big heroes... we should honor them somehow."

Edyn nods. "I agree, but not until you, and they, are fully recovered. Heroes need rest."

Kwynn makes a face, blue eyes darkening slightly. "I'm fine."

Edyn nearly laughs at his child-like feeling of invincibility. "No, you most certainly are not." She stands up to go get something to eat. "And next time, *you* can stay here, and Lillithe and I will fight." She leaves before he can protest, the two dragons giving a low, rumbling chuckle.
