Edyn put down the book she was reading with a sigh and looked around the room thoughtfully. She felt rather idle; she had not had this much free time since before she bonded Lillithe, and that had been a good three years ago. As she looked around, she decided the room seemed rather bare... then again, usually there was also a large red dragon inside as well. Where are Kwynn and Trae anyway? she thought.

They went for a fly last night, Lillithe said.

I hope nothing's wrong...

If there was, I would know, the white replied soothingly. They should be back any minute.

Edyn tried to relax, and stared up at the ceiling, thinking. I feel so bored! she remarked to her dragon. Lillithe chuckled mentally.

A gray has laid a clutch that should be hatching soon.

Edyn grinned to herself. No matter how many hatchings they would have at the mountain, she would never grow tired of them. There was just nothing more exciting than seeing the little dragons burst from their shells into the world, and choose their lifemate.... She hoped Kwynn would be back for this hatching, as he had missed the last few.
