I've never had a physical for insurance before and I'm curios myself to know what is involved. I've had physicals for sports, for general health, preemployment and for a commercial drivers license and they have all been a little different except for one thing. That one thing is you end up nude. I don't know if your insurance is for health or for life insurance, but you probably wouldn't need to get undressed for life insurance. I've never heard of anyone dying from a hernia, but you never know. I hope someone answers your question, because I'm curious too.

Here is the reason i started this thread. When i lived in California i had a friend that told me that he had an in home physical. He was married, had started his own business, and had applied for a large life insurance policy. The life insurance company sent a female nurse practitioner to his house. She called him a few days before the exam and requested that he not eat or drink anything except water because she would be drawing blood and needed a urine sample. She did the exam in his living room. Even did an EKG via phone line hookup. She then had him remove his underwear and did a genital exam and then prostate exam. It was on the up and up. Both of those items were on the exam form. He was naked for a couple of minutes. He said she was very friendly, very business like, and quite pretty!
