 I got my rectal temperature taken every time that I had a cold and fever -- all the way through high school. I had a hardtime keeping the oral thermometer in my mouth. So mom had me lay butt naked on my stomach on my bed while she took it.

My RT was taken every time my temp was checked till I left home at age 18. I'm 60+ now and still take my own temp rectally so I'd have to say just this week.
