I get your meaning. I also grew up in that Era!(Born 1958) and every kid feared those Penicillin shots. They never went in the arm, always in the bottom. I believe that was what brought kids to playing doctor. We did a lot of roleplay as we would emulate everything we saw and experienced in life so all shots we gave while playing were in the bottom since that was Where we got them.
The same went for temperature taking. Children almost always get them in the butt so it was
only in natural for us to do it the same. Ever
had that experience in playing!
