They are terrified, traumatized, but they need that enema and they get it. It's about 50 50 whether medical experts think you need your first pelvic exam around 13 to 15 years of age. It' okay to be scared. I was terrified but I lived through it. Your little enema patients are terrified but they get their enemas anyway. You helped me so much in understanding the fears my sitter has in having to come to me for intervention with her holding in her poop. You will be just fine. You will get through it.
