Mom asked the doctor for some sleeping medicine for my sister and me because we'd been awake most of the night before. Doc left some pills and told mom if we couldn't keep the medicine down, she should give it rectally. Both my sister and I upchucked the pills so we were sent our bedrooms while mom got out the enema bulb. I cried and didn't want an enema, but she only used the hard black tip to push the pill into my butt. I guess she did the same to my sister, though I didn't see that happen. Now she, for some reason, decided that I should be 'emptied out' before I was given a supp, maybe to prevent my automatic ejection of the supp before it had melted and been absorbed. I don't think I need to explain to the members of this group just what that meant. (Yup, another excuse to give me an enema.) I guess she didn't want to wait until supp melted with a finger up my bottom (a process that had been used on me with other supps). Oh, well, I survived. (I'm now almost 70.)
