 Belinda's comment prompted me to recall a memory from my own childhood. The incident involved me receiving an injection that I had decided at the time I did NOT want to receive. I was in the hospital & had just come out of recovery for surgery when one of the medics decided I needed an injection of something. My mother was observing & recalled that it took four docs and/or nurses to hold me down (boy age 7, under 50 lbs.) and the fifth one to give the injection. I didn't recall the event but my subconscious seemed to have recorded it & I had to be dragged to get shots for quite a few years afterward. At the time - 1957 - spanking was a regular occurrence in a kid's life & it usually got the desired results.
