 I'm just curious, as a kid, was anyone given a shot by an angry nurse or doctor; or just a plain nasty nurse? And if not the nurse, angry parents? Especially in the days where doctors came to the house.

What did you feel knowing you were going to be giving you a painful shot under such circumstances?

When making an appointment for inoculations, I stress that I want them in my bottom and emphasise, "regardless of what I may say at the time" to ensure the nurse will be strict about where she gives them to me. The more beautiful the nurse, the more I pretend to protest for the thrill of making her strict. Having exasperated her, I finally bare my bottom and bend over in excited anticipation of her making the shots hurt more than necessary. My yet-to-be achieved ideal would be for her to make me bend over the receptionist's lap for them, as in my youth.
