Waiting for the needle was more excruciating than the shot. Bare assed on the doctors table then the cool swab of alcohol as a disinfectant....then the jab of the needle in my butt. Ugh.

Worse than the shot was the ride home sitting on my sore butt listening to mom tell me that as soon as we got home she was giving me an enema. Double ugh. My poor butt. Mom would give me 2 or 3 soapy enemas that really cleaned me out. Now I had a sore butt from the shot and a burning butt from the soapy enemas. It burned so much I asked mom to rinse me out with a plain water enema before I went to bed.
I was almost 18 and after that night I gave myself an enema when I needed one.

The butt shots, few and far between as I grew up, were a lot quicker than the enema sessions of course and became matter of fact. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
