JUST MY POINT KEITH....GLASS THERMO'S ARE FILED WITH MERCURY AND THAT IS A HAZARD WITHIN ITSELF...SO YES...YOU HAVE TO HOLD THEM IN PLACE SO THEY WILL NOT BREAK.

THAT IS WHY GLASS ONES ARE OUT.
