The problems concerning S. Lee involve MUCH more than that one abortion incident. Check out the other postings, as well as reformubf.org

Moreover, all the Bibilical figures you mentioned REPENTED... key distinction with S. Lee.

As for the abortion issue... I personally am not convinced it is totally wrong. BUT one cannot compare abortion to contraception. Contraception is a preventive measure, whereas abortion is allegedly killing something that has already started to live. One could, of course, go on and on about where life starts... but that's another topic, another bulletin board.
