Subject: †-Listen to the trees-†
In reply to: Shadra 's message, "~beLIEve~" on 14:22:05 11/20/03 Thu

†-he smiled, not a mischivious grin or a mysterious smile, but a soft, gentle smile that seemed to brighten all around him. He watched Shadra Listen, and he felt a warm sense of pride in him. This is why I left home, he thought suddenly, his golden flecked orbs blurring. To see this joy a fairie receives after they Listen for the first time in ages. This is what I left for. He closed his own orbs and listened also, but what to his trained ears he heard not only the whisper, but soft words. The whisper was not a voice; it was a song, and the words lyrics. It was a silvery whisper that sent shivers along his spine, as all good treesongs did. It was laced with compassion and told a story of how it had once also had been pained, and had slowly but surely mended. He re-opened his eyes and looked at Shadra. He was sure that someday she would become a Master of treesongs, just as he had become. He told no one this fact, as it would make them scoff if they had never Listened. He had told only a few on his travels of it. But that didn't matter. He closed his eyes once more and listened again to the beautiful sound that was known as a treesong.-†
