~+~*at the advice of etani, you left lysator where he was while the orical of joy set out to the forest to seek a bondable-bird for him. so you decided to look around elsewhere. upon returning to the newer portions of the city, you happened to notice that there was much more activity. many of the elves who had not been killed were returning now. you wandered for a while, until you decided to check up north where etani had said that the 2 adepts and the god were spending time together. it was not hard to get to the right corridor- there was still a feeling of darkness when you went north, but it was not nearly as strong as it had been last year when the camp was still active outside the forest. so you went as far north as you could before you came to the very end of the main complex. you had seen no traces of those promised here by etani, so on sheer curiosity, you kept walking until you reaached the small stream that circled the hill the city had been built on. there was a crude log bridge here. you would not have taken it for a bridge had you not notices that it was bare of branches. so you crossed it, and went through a thickly overgrown portion of the natural life. there was a fairly small building there, so you went in. as promised, firesong, maiko, and arafin were there. so too, was aerika. this was aparently an old war room of some sort. the room was round, with one wall covered by large mirrors and smaller mirrors. one wall was covered by old elven weapons- all of which were held firmly in place by large bolts, that coyuld probably be pulled out if you wanted to get a weapon bad enough. you decided not to try. another wall was loaded with practice armor, everything from leather to scale armor. then below it was a heap of armor in need of repair. on the last wall, other than the spaace for the door where you had come in, there were maps of several places- most of which you did not recognize. around the floor, closer to the corners, there were small stone tables holding ancient elven artifacts- 5, in all. 2 old vases, a glass scrying crystal, a throwing disk, and a black carved horse made of a stone you failed to recognize. then in the center of the room, the marble floor was covered by two seperate pelts of a creature-that you also failed to recognize. there were 2 wooden benches here, and one table littered with odds and ends. material to repair the neglected armor, several pens, a few glass paper weights, some fragments of old parchments, a long portion of a chord, a few rags, and several chemicals used to clean weapons and shine armor. there was also a needle and some thread to repair the thin armor, probably the leather. there was only one window, too high to reach- a crude slit near the roof that let in little light. as for interion illumination, there was an oil lamp burning on the corner of the table.*~+~
